Can chickens eat spiders???

Does that spider kill the birds it eats, or is it a scavenger?

In the little time I've been a RIR mommy I've watched in horror as my girls have tag teamed tree frogs, my arch nemeses the brown widows, wolf spiders and lizards. They are organically fed and free range during the day here in BAMA (RTR!), the only state that has 4 seasons in a day, and although I toss eggs for 2 days if I witness a confirmed kill of a toxic beast, so far no deaths or disease to the girls. I just don't want frog entrails or venom in the morn.
