Can chickens get Covid 19

Just wondering, because I have only one bird and he live with me indoors. Can he catch the virus if I get it when I go out. I hope not, but you never know. I am doing everything I can to protect myself.

They can look fine and healthy, but they can carry bacteria very harmful to humans including salmonella and Campylobacter. The risk of exposure to poultry-borne bacteria is especially great to children under 5, adults over 65 and anyone with a compromised immune system.

I understand your concern, While there are many types of coronavirus (the common cold being one of them I believe, is that correct?) but while there is such thing as an Avian Coronavirus, it is unrelated to the current Human-affecting COVID-19, which currently is not proven to Affect any other type of animal besides us.
