Just wondering, because I have only one bird and he live with me indoors. Can he catch the virus if I get it when I go out. I hope not, but you never know. I am doing everything I can to protect myself. :idunno

Be very careful. While they cannot get COVID, chickens harbor harmful bacteria. They can look fine and healthy, but they can carry bacteria very harmful to humans including salmonella and Campylobacter. The risk of exposure to poultry-borne bacteria is especially great to children under 5, adults over 65 and anyone with a compromised immune system.

I understand your concern, While there are many types of coronavirus (the common cold being one of them I believe, is that correct?) but while there is such thing as an Avian Coronavirus, it is unrelated to the current Human-affecting COVID-19, which currently is not proven to Affect any other type of animal besides us.
