We have a fox problem and so far have lost 3 birds. This morning we saw the fox with a chicken in it's mouth and were able to scare it away and it also dropped the bird off. The bird looks ok but is sitting up in the tree. The problem is that the fox had mange. Will my chicken be susceptible to mange now? Should we cull it, separate it, eat it, not worry about it?

As soon as we figure out the gun laws around here we'll hopefully be able to catch the bugger.

Super, thanks. Although, I think the fox came back and got the bird again, or it took another one. We aren't quite sure.

I did find out it's 2 months minimum before I can get a gun though

When I adopted 2 sick budgies I was told by my vet they had scaly face mange mites. I realize there are different types of mange and all, and I don't mean to hijack this thread or anything, but is scaly face avian mange or isn't it? I'm confused... :)
