Can chickens get sick from humans?

My kids and I have had some sort of awful plague for 10 days. I have two week old meat chickens and tonight they sound like they are congested. Can chickens get sick from humans? Is that possible? They actually sound like my kids right now.

I was personally not sure about chickens getting sick from humans but i do know that humans can get sick from chickens. But i know i am not too much help so hopefully someone with a better answer will post soon!

Ohmygosh, I have taken everything under the sun. In 2 months, they will declare a new flu strain and I'll be like, "I've HAD it!"

We are eating these chickens in four weeks, so they better not die before we kill them, darn it.
