Can chickens have cat food?

I think the point here should be common sense and moderation. I agree that if they are cleaning up a lot of cat food every day that is too much and I would change that situation. However a few pieces of kibble here and there is not going to hurt them. I have birds currently who are 4, 5 and 6 years old that have been grabbing a few pieces of cat kibble here and there all their lives and they are healthy and going strong.

Mine get into the cat food in the barn on occasion. It's not my favored feed for them, but doesn't seem to have done them any harm!!!
