Can chickens see at night ?

Was trying to teach my rooster a lesson tonight and keep him out of the coop when it was getting dark. Next thing I know he is running into everything. Then he just squatted down and wouldn't move anymore. I picked him up and put him in the coop and he is sleeping on the floor.

To the best of my knowledge have minimal if any night vision. This is why it is so easy to catch/pick up chickens when it is dark.
