I can't wait to get some homegrown eggs! We do have a side-door brooder (an old guinea pig cage). Ours are tame as far as if we sit on the floor they will come peck at our clothes and shoes, but they hate to be caught and picked up. We try to be very gentle and let them see our hand for a minute, but ultimately you have to grab them to catch them, but they are getting better about being held. One of them seems to really like it, and the other two are getting better and not peeping fearfully anymore. I do hope we will be able to catch them easily and that they will be tame when grown!.
