can chicks eat grass?!

i have four six week old silkie chicks, they have just moved onto growers pellets and have scratch corn. i was always told to never give the chicks access to grass or greens as it could result in sour crop and other disorders. i was wondering if this is true and if anyone allows their chicks access to grass etc.

I let my chicks have access to grass, definitely. Give them some grit, which you should be doing anyway with the scratch corn, and they should be fine!
