Can Coturnix carry diseases for people?

Just started getting eggs from my coturnix. I had 5. Ive had them now about 1 1/2 months.
Last week I got what i figured was "summer flu". Still have fever and awful cough,
Even with antibiotics.
Today I found one of my two roos dead in his coop. He was seemingly fine yesterday!

Could there be a connection between Tiny's death and my own illness?

Could there be a connection? Sure, its possible.

I would think its highly unlikely, especially given "he was fine yesterday" and I would expect at least a few days of symptoms before he would succumb to the flu. They drop dead sometimes, you can spend money to find out why.
Won't change a thing.

Turned out I had pneumonia. My first [so-called] doctor misdiagnosed me. Needless to say, he was replaced.

I am now. That was in July 2014. Missed a month (!) of work, and took another month after that before I really felt human again.
