I have a carpet beetle problem that hasn't gone away with a bug bomb. One of the dogs I had in the passed loved playing with and eating cicadas and they are around the same size both being harmless to animals. So my question is, will a dog eat carpet beetles and is it ok to let them?

Adult black carpet beetles range from 1/8 to 3/16 inch long

Cicadas are 1 - 1 1/2 inches long.

They are black carpet beetles, and I found some feathers with little bites out of them so I'm pretty sure it's them.

most insects are okay to be eaten by doggos and can provide protein (though small amount) my only concern is if it turns out to be asian beetles as those can do some damage and asian beetles come in various colors

could you possibly get a pic?
I don't have a working camera but they look exactly like the images of black carpet beetles on google and I don't know any other house pest that would look exactly like that and eat feathers.
