Hello again, and first off all-sorry for my not good English language.
I have one strange question.Do You think that one duck can be learned
to go to sleep in the other coop separate then others from the flock?
The problem is that I have one old female lady which have
problems with egg yolk peritonitis for last 3years.During the last
exacerbation of EYP before 2months-the problems were very serious-
prolapse of the vent and oviduct. But after antibiotic treatment with
lincomicine and spectinomycin injections for 10days,surgical suture and
suprelorin implant-now the duck is absolutely healthy.God bless the
veterinatian who made all this!!!But I do not want the duck to be mated,
because I am afraid of deterioration of her health condition. And also
I have 2 cayuga drakes, which are really enormous.During the day
there is always human to look for them and there are not a problem-
so she lives with the flock.
But at the evening they all go to sleep in the coop and I can not
look what happens inside. So for the last 2months every evening I run
after them and catch her and put her to sleep in one paper box in
the house. But it is big stress for her and for other birds in the flock.
So I will buy one wooden coop, something like doghouse but bigger and
she will sleep in it,maybe alone or with one another old lady.
But I do not want to run again every evening after them and to catch it
and to put it in this new coop.So-do You think that she can be learned
after some days to go to sleep in the new coop seperate from the others
in the flock?

I have two pekin drakes, 1 3+ years old and one 6 months old that learned to go into dog crates un my duck coop. They feel safe in there where my muscovy drakes cannot get to them. But I do have to follow them in and close the dogcrate door.

So if your girlcfeels safe in a wooden crate or dog kennel, she can learn to go in there. But I doubt that she will feel safe separate from the coop and the other ducks. I think you have to put your box or dogcrate into the coop

HI! Welcome. First of all, your "not good English" is perfectly fine and very easy to understand.. no apologies needed! I'm sorry, I have no ducks so I cannot answer your questions. But I will wish you good fortune, both with finding someone to come and anserer your questions, and also with finding a solution to your duck dilemma!

in my experience ducks mate only when they lay. I guess your duck is not able to lay. if she can lay then you should separate her.

you can make a cage inside their coop.
