Can Ducks And Chickens Share A Coop?...

Hard to say for certain, but I think your best bet is to just try it out with supervision! If you're watching them carefully, it shouldn't be risky. If either party gets too aggressive, I'd separate them for now, but I don't think it's going to be a problem. They might squabble for a bit at first, but it's more serious violence or discomfort/fighting for more than a few days that I'd look for. I wouldn't be too worried, though, my ducks weigh something like seven or eight pounds each and some of my chickens are just a pound or so and they still do just fine all together.

One thing that helps relieve tension is to have at least two feeders available, too. That way it doesn't feel as much like the birds are competing, and the ducks can eat at one feeder and the chickens at another. I make a number of separate food piles in my coop so everyone can separate into comfortable groups and there isn't so much squabbling.

Well, today we joined the merry bands of ducks(4 muscovies) and chickens(6 silkies) and I'm happy to report they're all sleeping peacefully together in the coop tonight!...And not one feather out of place, we couldn't be happier!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The chickens are up on the perch and the ducks are chillin in the hay we put in there for them on the floor, so good, so far!!!!!!!

My only issue with this would be worries the Silkies get wet. We used to breed Silkies, and they are not always very bright about staying dry. Personally, I'd create separate quarters for them if you can down the road...
