Can ducks be with chickens and rosters?

I've had ducks and chickens "together" for more than two years now, w/o issue.
That said, I have one, sometimes two mature drakesand usually 8+ hens. The ducks sleep under the chicken's houses, and I have LOTS of space. If you don't measure your back yard in acres, you do not have "lots" of space.

Even so, ducks are wet, messy, disgusting creatures. I set out four clean 5 gallon water buckets a day for them, plus the automatic water supplies from my rain filled totes.
It can be done. The more drakes you have, relative to hens, the more challenging it becomes. The less space you have, the more challenging it becomes. At some point, better to raise them seperately. I'm not sure where that point is, and I'm certain it varies somewhat with the personality of your ducks.

Also, chicken hatchlings underfoot with ducks about is a recipe for crushed hatchlings. NOT good eats. I do seperate my hatchlings, for their safety.
