Can ducks coexist with a red eared slider in a small pond?

Being a Snapper is a common misconception of the Red Eared Slider, because of their large range and sassy attitude. You might want to introduce some sort of plant to act as a filter. Or maybe a fish. Not an expert, but it seems like a good idea if they make the water that mucky.

I'm pretty sure any plants would be eaten by the sliders if not the ducks, and 200 gallons is a lot to dechlorinate weekly for fish... which the turtles and ducks would likely eat before they had a chance to survive. LOL

One thing I would worry about the sliders is that even though they prefer to bask in the sun 8 hours a day.... they do bite, and bite hard if they think something like your finger looks tasty or smells like turtle food.... enter bad infection of my thumb once. My two girls were about 11 inches long each.

I was thinking duck toes more than leg. Their adult mouths are just large enough to get the side of my thumb... So if they even got curious, they could go after a lazy floating duck foot if it got close to their mouthes. They are more herbaceous as adults but do like the occasional treat of chicken or hot dog. LOL My turtles were a bit... spoiled?

really don't think I'd want to mix the 2 in a pond.

You all convinced me to leave the slider out of the collection. I just know someone who's kids are ignoring theirs so I was wondering if i should offer up my pond. Sounds like a no!
