Yes they always have food and drinks. This is only for one week.

That cage is not even big enough for one duck. Birds can not reason "only for one week". They only realize they are miserable right now.

Humans with any degree of compassion for animals tend to anthropomorphize them. They have no idea what a week means. They know to kinds of time...light time and dark time. They do not have the capability to think like a human even if we do think they do. Three ducklings, no matter how small they are, in what is essentially a foot square box is too many. If you think in terms of you being put in a small closet "just for a week" you might have an idea of what their experience will be. Depending on their age they may be better off being put outside now rather than having to endure the box. If they are not old enough to be outside then get a bigger cardboard box, cover the bottom with an old towel to absorb splashed water and droppings, change it at least once a day if not more often. Ducks grow pretty fast so that foot square cube is going to be really crowded really fast.

I am curious as to your perspective. Why do you feel/think keeping 4 week old ducks in a small space helps them acclimate to their new environment if you plan to let them range after the week? Is it more of a quarantine time with space you have? Keeping them isolated so they don't bring disease to your other birds?

I looked at your other posts and see you are in the Phillapines - American english and anywhere else english don't always translate well so I'm wondering if there is a translation issue in this discussion?

From my experience, limited as it may be, if you are not concerned about quarantine, 4 week old ducks do very well outside during the day with supervision in a small "run". They thrive running and foraging and get stronger. In a 12x12 box for 7 days they don't get exercise as they grow so fast and it can cause heath issues that can follow them beyond this confined period. My 4 week old ducklings last year flourished being outside during the day and secure in house during the night.

If quarantine is not the issue, your ducklings will do much better the sooner you get them out of the small space with water and foraging ground.

They fit! The way I see it, I can still add 2 more ducks to fill the cage - maybe their not really 4 weeks old when I bought them.
Quarantine is an issue.
Predators and rats are issues.
I have free range chickens and guinea fowls, ducks might get bullied or killed by larger fowls so I want them to get accustomed with each other and with the environment.

Why compare humans with birds? We are predators to them.
