Can ducks use a step on/automatic feeder?

We have 3 chickens and 2 pekin ducks and are wondering whether the ducks will be able to use an automatic chicken feeder if we buy one? We are keen to get one of these because we have lots of wild ducks around our house and area, who like to steal the food. Our pet ducks are not particularly intelligent...
