Can full-size hen hatch/raise bantams safely?

Hi, I have a 1 year old Australorp who went broody, we acquired bantam eggs from a friend for her to try to hatch. After candling, we know 6 or 7 are developing well. Is there any concern due to hen’s larger size that she could crush them when they hatch? Perhaps it’s a silly question but I know bantam chicks are tiny and we’re newbies after 1 year of loving raising backyard chickens. Thanks!

Yep! I had my Rhode island red hen hatch some bantam chicks (silkies) and she did great! Good luck with your hen

Thanks for the feedback. Babies started hatching last night, 5 down, 2 to go. I'm so excited, my husband isn't... and he made me promise no more picking up fertile eggs for my brood girls. I'll probably keep that promise for a year or 2.
