Can guineas carry diseases that affect chickens?

Sorry if this is a completely stupid question. I'm thinking about picking up two or three guinea keets from a person locally, since we have major tick issues here and the chickens and ducks could use a little help keeping the population down. The person also has chickens, so I'm wondering if it's advisable to quarantine the new little guys before I introduce them into my chicken population. Thanks!
 
Yes, guineas can carry some of the same diseases as chickens.
I would quarantine for 2 weeks just to be on the safe side.
