Can humidity be too high during hatch?

I'm sorry to hear that. How many did you start off with? Do you think it was due to high humidity as well or other factors as well?
56 eggs.

My incubator seemed to like cooking the chicks, it would spike up to 105°F within minutes, & it was a pain to keep down. I'm going to be getting rid of that incubator.

oh my 56 eggs! I feel your pain!! Yeah, last year I bought a “cheap” incubator ($80) because my broody hen was kicking her eggs off the shelf we found her in. It worked well, but we had it outdoors in the summer and it was always super hot, past 100 degrees. So the ones that hatched prior to those spikes did well, but not the others.

This year I’m keeping the incubator indoors and hope it will help keep the temp consistent. It also helps its not summer. Sorry again for your loss.

I have another incubator of the same model, but works better then the one that was trying to cook my chicks.
