You should be able to mix them just fine, assuming you have enough space. I have several different ages running together.

I agree; I've got 3 different age groups together: almost 4 months, almost 2 months & about 1 month. I put my new ones in at dusk, after the others have settled in for the night. It seems to work just fine.
