Hello! I have 4 chicks, 2 americanas and 2 starlights. One of the starlights is looking suspiciously rooish 😬. We already have one older roo and can't have another. These chicks are between 2 and 3 weeks old. The store I got them at still has some more. My question is can I introduce a new chick with them now or not? Thanks!

As long as they are close to the same age (within a couple weeks), you can introduce new ones. There will probably be some pecking order action going on the first day or two, but they should be fine.

I would keep them separate until she is older! You may want to get two or three so she isn't lonely, depending on her age

last year i hatched out some appenzellers and only 1 hatched. so i quickly got some new eggs (polish and silkies) when they hatched there was 4 weeks difference in age and my appenzeller was so much bigger than them. i separated them of with some mesh but the silkies could fit through so i ended up putting them all together.
my appenzeller was very good with the chicks, other than pecking their toes for the first few days. he became like a dad to them and they would sleep under his wing every night.
