i have a broody first time, it is day 22 and nothing,so is it ok if i lift her and check the eggs for piping and handle them or is that a no no?

Yes with a broody it would be a good idea to check and see what is happening. Don't remove her, just reach under and check 1-2 eggs.

Welllllllll..............you could put fresh eggs under her and give it another go, or you could break her of her broodiness. Either way you don't need to let her sit on nothing.
Hope it works out well for you.

ok i just candled them and one was completely dark could not see anything through it from any side,(these are brown eggs by the way) the other looked completely dark at first but then i shined it from the end and it looked dark from one end all the way around about 2/3rds of the whole egg with a pocket at the other end and then i think i saw something moving. and then i found another one she had collected that has vessels but it must be new or one i missed when i do my round up of her add ons.

I just take them out, candle and put them right back about a 30 second process, i don't haul them all inside.
