Well im going away for 5 days and I dont want to leave my chicks in the brooder while im gone. (the heat lamp worries me)

Anyways I have 2 slw's, 2 Br's, and a packing peanut in the brooder. They will be a week old tmw.

I have a broody bantie that loves takeing care of chicks. She is still being the momma to my 7 week old red sexlinks

Can I put the babys in with her and let her take care of them? Its been pretty warm, so i dont think them getting a chill will be an issue. So should i try putting her with them?

Do u think she will attack them? Also what's the best way to go about putting them together

That's up to her. I would just put them in and see if she accepts them. Watch the carefully. Good Luck

I agree with the other posts. Try and put them in with her. You may have to remove the 7 week old chick as it can kill the younger ones Watch carefully and be prepared to remove the chicks if she doesn't take them.

Well I took her out and put them together. She pecked at one and tryed to break out. I think she was mad that I took her away from the others. I'll try tmw when Shes calmed dwn.
