can I dye these?

I am making my dear chocoholic husband some truffle filled eggs. You blow them out, boil the shells. Then you coat the inside with chocolate. When solid, you fill with truffle or mousse mixture. Do you think that the choc. would still adhere to the inside of the eggshell if I dyed the shells first?
I though they would look nicer colored.

Hey, I saw this in a Martha Stewart mag and I'm pretty doggone sure she dyed them first.

But you could always use this as an excuse to get some EE's, and then you'd have no worries at all!! (I don't sound like an enabler, right?)

I was planning on posting pics of them and all my reg easter eggs when finished(if I can get photobucket to work)

I am planning to get some EE's or americaunas when we build our new coop.

DUH!!! I just re-read the recipe and they do say at one point that you can dye them if you want.

How do you coat the INSIDE of the eggs with chocolate? That is crazy...

it says that you take the bags for icing and fill it up. Cut the tip about 1/4" and then fill inside the hole of the egg. I may try it one day
