Well here's an update, all of my chickens are acting fine. There doesn't appear to be any blood in the poop and even the one who WAS sick is merrily scratching and pecking and taking her afternoon dust baths with the others. They seem perfectly fine now. Eating great and very active
Oh and the rice mix wasn't for cocci it was just something I read you could do that might help them start laying (if they'd stopped) my sis in law said she read it was for worming them. I gave it to them before I realized something was wrong with the one chicken. I have one chicken laying daily (miss a day now and then) and the others are giving me nothing! It's the one that had been acting sick that is laying.
I never realized that even in a forum about chickens there would be people who like to criticize and try to make themselves feel better then other people!! Oh my goodness people! Not everyone is the same, doing things naturally is important to me, if its not to you then shut your mouth and go on with your own ways.
