I read someplace a while back ( not sure where ) and it said as a treat on hot days as well as a good source of calcium you ca give them frozen raw eggs. I wanted to make sure before I actually did this, that it was ok. Thank you!

Whenever raw egg is fed to chickens you take the chance of them becoming egg eaters; no, I would not feed frozen raw egg. Hard boiled eggs are a good source of calcium. We mash them up shell and all and feed it to the hens. It will not result in egg eating behavior. A better choice for keeping cool is melon frozen and fed.

I would also not feed raw eggs, it will encourage them to become egg eaters. If it's calcium you are seeking try dried out egg shells crunched up into small peices.

Hope I helped to answer your question a and good luck.
