Yes, eggs too. My birds also get any meaty scraps, like the turkey carcass after Thanksgiving and the like.

I would say no, but you may have to clean the coop more often, due to poop more smelly than usual. GCIs there a danger for the non-molters and boys having more protein than they need?
I rarely give animal Protein only poopy or cracked frozen eggs.most of the bugs have died or gone to overwinter. I guess maybe mealworms would be a good source of animal protein

I fed mine a high protein diet and mine doesn't smell bad unless it rains for days. I think a lot of it has to do with what kind and how deep your floor litter is. Plus how many birds are in there. I use the deep litter method but I need to put a new roof over the pen. Since hurricane Michael the roof has been leaking quite a bit.I really don't notice the smell being that terrible. I feed much higher protein than my friend and her coop always smells awful...
