Not unless you cook them, beans can actually kill them if you don't cook them first.

If you need to kill anything in it before you cook it, you can freeze it first, then cook it. In case of an ick factor for you or worries about anything escaping in the kitchen.

I've used those disposable pantry moth traps in the past when I had a problem and they worked great.

I've fed my birds lots of uncooked dry beans (we're talking 5-gallon bucketfuls at a time) and never had any issue.
