Fat is fine. The SALT used to cure it however isn't good for them.

I just wanted to say that as well... I wouldn't feed it to them because of the salt.

Thanks. I’ll call the butcher. I don’t think it’s cured, but I could be wrong. It’s a local company that pasture raises all their own meats. And, they know exactly what’s been done. If it is cured, can I give them a little or should I just forget it?

If it's bacon, it's been through a salt bath of some sort. Pink salt and table salt are equally bad for them. If it's a small piece every few days it'll probably not hurt. If you throw a handful to them, the top chickens will get a decent amount of sodium.
