I don't think chemical fertilizers are as problematic as insecticides or herbicides. Though I would avoid anything that was pelletized since chickens love to eat things that look like gravel.
If you've just recently fertilized, I would water the area with just water for a while first, then you should be fine.
If its rained since you fertilized I think that is okay.
The only thing that might be an issue is getting in contact with fresh fertilizer, but even that is probably not particularly dangerous.
