Can I Feed Wild Bird Seed as a Treat

My mom accidently bought me 40lbs of wild bird seed. I wanted 4lbs of cockateil seed mix. Can I use it as a treat for the chickens?

Thanks everyone for the quick responses. I am going to be gone this weekend and will leave it out for the chicken sitter so they can have a treat while I am gone.
