Have you tried adoption rather than buying adult ducks? There are a number of duck rescue organizations -- I would think there is one in Ontario. Try searching for "wildlife sanctuaries near me" or "duck rescue near me". There is a facebook group Rescue Ducks where you might advertise that you are looking to adopt ducks rescued near you. https://www.facebook.com/groups/388169774565866

Sorry, I know Ontario is Canada -- I have a cousin in Guelph. But I thought the Rescue Ducks group was international. I will put out a call on it and see if anyone knows of a Canadian equivalent

Woodlands Wildlife Sanctuary in Ontario might offer advice if they don't adopt out ducks [they don't talk about duck adoptions]. They may be able to tell you which if any organizations or rehabbers take in domestic ducks.

Flying Hope arranges adoptions for companion birds [aka pets]. They likely mean parrots and parakeets, but contact them and ask! https://flyinghope.weebly.com/

Similarly, cherished wings is parots and birds -- but contact hem and ask

I don;t know your situation in Canada but in FLrida where I live, it is illegal for wildlife rehabbers to take in muscovy and many wont take abandoned domestic ducks as they cannto release them to the wild. But there are persons who the rehabbers know who take in muscovy and domestic ducks. If asked they will tell if they think the enquiry is genuine

Located within the Stony Swamp Conservation Area, the Wild Bird Care Centre takes in around 3,000 birds annually, all of them brought to the centre by caring citizens. With a resource centre — complete with observation windows — it’s also open to the public daily from noon until 3pm.

I rescue, rehab and rehome ducks! Its my retirement occupation. [Daft Duck Lady] At the moment I am out of State, getting our old family house ready to sell. Can't rescue ducks here, so helping you is as close as I can get

This may seem like a silly question, but, have you contacted the people close to you, told your story, and asked if they might be willing to part w at least one adult?
Then you can bring in more chicks if you’d like, and everyone should have a buddy.
Introductions can be challenging, even if they are “lonely”. Don’t be surprised if it takes some time and effort.
And they never seem to “bond” when they didn’t grow up together.... Its been interesting to watch through the years. They get to the point that they tolerate each other, but there is always a distinction in who wants to hang w who by the pool

Where are you located in Canada? We have Muscovy ducks to give away.
