Honestly I could do without it too! What I don`t like is morning temps sometime next week in the low teens makes me a bit concerned about our birds!

She died in my arms this morning.

That is the worst... So sorry for that...

I had that happen a couple of years ago with one of my favorite birds a very sweet Black Jersey Giant pullet just short of a year old. I heard a commotion in the run and our Easter Egger was standing on top of her pecking the crap out of her. Moments later she died on my lap... I cried like a baby the whole time I was laying her to rest...

I looked up Valdez to see where it is in Alaska and found all these beautiful photos of the area, and also this :

78° and sunny with 23% humidity at 3:00 P.M. High of 78°. Chicken delights today are grapes and kale.

Someone made a t-shirt based off the El Tour de Tucson rider collision with a javelina (both were fine). Now that's enterprising!

Vornado space heaters do well to keep the chill off. They kept up with the cold when I had 2 winters of -50 weather.
