Can I get rid of mites without using chemicals, or is trying silly?

DE isn't any safer to inhale than anything else that's effective. I wear a N95 dust mask (from the paint section) when cleaning the coop or using anything that is dusty, or sprayed. Mary

I wear a dust mask when I'm working in the coop as well...followed by a nice hot shower.
