Can I give my 6 week chicken bread?

I have 6 chickens going into the 6th week of life and I wanted to know if I can give them bread. We have a sourdough bread and wanted to make sure that it was okay for them to eat?

You can give them bread (as long as it's not moldy imho), just make sure they have grit (crushed granite) available free choice.

I would give them a small amount, you still want them to eat their normal feed for the most part.

I'm sure others will chime in with their thoughts as well.

thank you! They they have that starter feed that has grit is that okay? But I gave them a little bit of bread and they seem to love it!

Your feed has grit added to it?
That is probably o.k. then. I prefer to sprinkle a bit of chick grit free choice, they will take what they need, but if they have grit it should be fine.

Chick(en)s like to get a little treat, just like we do! You can also give them a bit of scrambled egg as a treat, mine love that.

A little bit of bread is ok, don't overdo it.

Mine actually won't eat any form of bread. They're like me, they don't like it.
