Hey everyone! Been reading forums on BYC since I started raising egg layers, finally needed to ask a question. I have a New Hampshire Red rooster, about 6 months old. He broke his wing a couple weeks ago. I had tried to wrap it to keep it in place but he would just get it tangled on things or remove it. I have him inside now so he can recover in a stress free and quiet area but I haven’t seen any improvement. It’s still swollen and black and blue around the break, and the part that broke hangs down lower than the rest of his wing. I know it will heal on its own over time, but meanwhile, can I give him liquid tylenol to help with the pain and inflammation? And if yes, how much?

Thanks!

That would be about 30 mg of liquid childrens’ ibuprofen twice a day. If using 100 mg per 5 ml, I would give 1.5 ml.
