Can I hatch Twin chicks?

if you have a double yolk egg, are you likely to hatch two chicks from it?

There is a possibility, but extremely rare! I myselg also hope to one day hatch twins, but usually, a double yolker results in the death of both chicks, or the larger chick lives and is healthy, while the twin dies in the egg. It can also result in conjoined twins, which my neghbor had a chicken like that that was shipped to her from a hatchery. The chicken had two legs potrudingo out of her tail. The two extras had to be removed because she was a laying hen, and they didn't want it to cause problems. If the twins do ha r ch, it will be either one normal sized and a smaller, scrawny one (pretty much a runt) and the smallet one usually doesn't make it to adult hood. Eben more rare than two alive chicks hatching, is two healthy twins, usually one is smaller than the other. Hatching double yolkers is a rarity, but it is possible! If you do hatch twins, please post pictures!!!!!

Double yolk should make two chicks, but the percentage of hatch rate and survival for twin chicks are very low.

Hi there! I have two eggs with two yolks and two babies each today is day 14 and the four are still moving....? Any suggestions as to what I should watch for? ANYONE With suggestions is appreciated! Thank all of you for be so welcoming. I was lost for a long time and for some reason I couldn't talk to anyone????

I have a group of eggs in the incubator( first time hatching eggs) one egg that has two developing embryos inside the chicks are due in about two weeks, is there ways to help them both survive? their developing well, my only concern is that the egg is more of an oval shape and smaller that the other large sized eggs but it’s still a good size.
