muscovie=one of the best broody duck breeds out there.nice lookin babies. some of the cutest ive seen. very nice.

Oh ya'll have beautiful babies! and FYI runners are good mama's but mine let everything under the sun eat them! We have to pull their nests when they get about a week away from hatching.

Here is a runner I had last year. The nut went broody and hatched out about a dozen ducklings. She was very protective. TOO protective! All the babies she raised were afraid of EVERYTHING! I sold her crazy butt

I kept two of her foster kids (she had mostly Welsh harlequin eggs under her). Took months to get them to chill out but now they are friendly.
