Can I help my chick hatch?

It's been 25 hours since it pipped and I got this egg from a broody who abandoned her nest so it had been out from under a hen for a bit of yesterday. I have helped two other chicks out of their eggs before. Can I help it hatch?

It's been 25 hours since it pipped and I got this egg from a broody who abandoned her nest so it had been out from under a hen for a bit of yesterday. I have helped two other chicks out of their eggs before. Can I help it hatch?

It depends on how big the pip is and if you hear the chick peeping normally or souning like itis in distress. If the membrane is visible in the pip hole and it is looking brown, then the chick might be stuck.

Be very careful if you help. If things look ok for the chick, wait until the morning.

I am often amazed at how many hatch out on their own if you give them time
