i have three turkey hens and seven toms and i am planning to have the hens to lay eggs and hatch and if they show signs of broodiness i want to move at least one hen to a separate coop, which will be the size of 8 by 20 ft height 5ft with half wood and half sand floor with a concrete roof but the thing is it will get little or no sunshine at all.
so what i want to know is will that be a suitable/ ideal setting or an outright no no and if so pls advice me some other better arrangement

which to your experience is the best turkey breed to hatch and raise its young ones by themselves, and if it is not too much trouble can somebody please post pics of different turkey breeds it would be so much appreciated bcos i am a confuse first time turkey breeder and................ feeling a little foolish asking this....

There is only one turkey breed-the turkey. There are a number of turkey varieties.

thats exactly why i posted my query, to learn about the different varieties and so would you guys be kind enough to indulge me and post some pics for me please

hi tim thanks a lot, with your help i think i can identify my turkey as 7 white holland (4 toms and 3 hens) and 3 bronze (2 tom and one hen) .>>> once again thank you.

By the way, I think the tom/hen ratio will be poor if you have only 3 hens and seven toms. I'm not totally sure about this-- does anyone else know -- the hens may get beaten up by overbreeding.
