Hi Everyone,
I'm new here, so I hope I'm doing this right.
Meet Pipi, my 2 week old Faverolle chick. I've been trying to determine its gender, hoping for a female, but I feel like I'm getting mixed signals (or I'm high on "hopium"?).
PP face.jpeg

From the face-shot, I'd say the comb is rather small, pointing to female...
PP side.jpeg

Though I'm seeing some black in the leg-feathers, and at the base of the wing feathers, which could be male...
PP top.jpeg

Then again, the tail feathers are rather developed... does that point to female, or not necessarily?

PP legs.jpeg

And a good shot of the legs, displaying the characteristic 5 toes, and the dark color at the base of the toe-feathers.

I honestly don't know anymore if Pipi's a he or she, but I'd like to know before he would start crowing ^^"
Can any of you help me out, or do I have to wait a little longer? What should I be looking out for specifically?
Thanks in advance!

small update on Pipi:
She's now... 11ish weeks old!
I was not expecting this color... but it's pretty neat!
Point of concern, though; she has recently started exploring her voice. Part of this now is that she started crowing.

Is Pipi a little roo after all..? or is this just a phase?

That is a big color change. He's a cockerel.

Cockerels will be very dark almost black looking.
