I was wondering if eggs can be incubated if they have some dirt on them. Do I need to clean it in any way?

Note: I should also mention the one dirty egg is a goose egg from a rare Cotton Patch goose. I want to do all I can to hatch it out. Also, I just put some chicken eggs in the incubator. Can I incubate them together?

I prefer to incubate clean eggs, but not scrubbed clean. I would just gently wipe clean with a soft cloth/damp scott towel.

I incubate dirty eggs...not filthy gross eggs , but a little dirt, a little chicken poo wont hurt. Actually its better NOT to wash them because they have a coating on them that helps protect them...pretty sure they call it "the Bloom" on here. No worries ! Good Luck !

if they are like brown like poop brown ill wipe them off but if they have a little poop on them ill through them in it doesnt hurt them... does the hen wash her eggs??
