Can I integrate 3 day old chicks with 1 day old chicks easily?

Hi everyone!! Newbie chicken lady here and starting my flock next week!! I am going to a local poultry farm to get my breeds and some of the breeds I'd like are coming Wednesday and the others on Friday. Is it okay for me to get day old chicks Wednesday, and then add another set of day old chicks on Friday to the same brooder? Will I need to integrate them any special way or can they all go together right away since they are so young? They will be 3 days apart when the second set arrives. Thank you for your help!!

There should be no problem, we're still adding new hatched chicks to our 5 day olds. Are you using a bulb for heat or a mama hen heat plate? It seems like having them mix under the heat plate gives them less opportunity for pecking other that the normal amount.

That should be fine, they're fairly close in age and so young that pecking order isn't a concern.

We are using a red bulbed heat lamp! Thanks for the advice
