can I just give em poly vi sol?

I have silkies hatching tomorrow and I was wondering when they hatch, can I just give em one drop of poly vi sol just to give em a head start? Would this hurt them? I know some people said that there chicks hatched with no crooked toes etc but then after a while it started showing up. Would just giving them one drop of poly vi sol help solve those problems before they occur?

I dont think it would hurt them I usually give my newly hatched eggyolks crushed very fine THink about it thats what they are used to eating in the shell. I mix alittle yolk in with their chick starter and it gives them an added protein boost.

i put a couple drops of poly si vol in a plastic quart jar along with a dollop of OJ to kill the smell and taste and a pinch of sugar.
Chicks dig it.

I just put a dropper into their qt. watering jar for the first time this morning. So far, they have been drinking just fine. The packaging said "One dropper regardless of size" so I hope that's true for chicks too!
