can i keep bantams and standrds together

can i keep six standards and 1 bantam safely? i dont want my bantam to be bullied

Yes you can. I did. Mine were together since day one though. I have 9 standard sized hens and one bantam. She is low man on the to-tum pole but gets along very well with the others. Sometimes she sorta hangs out on the side lines and mingles with the flock but from a short distance. She may be low man but doesn't miss a beat when it comes to treats.....she's fast as lighting and gets her share!l I did just recently get another bantam to be her buddy since she was the only among all those big girls.

Yes, I have 11 Bantams and 16 standards. some were a year old and some were six months old when I put them together. They did amazing. No problems.

If they are raised together the problems should be minimal. Introducing a bantam to an established standard flock can be a nightmare.

thanks i was going i am probably going to introduce 2 bantam nd 1 standard to my flock of four, but when i do get the newcomers my flock will only be about 2 months old
