I have three Pekin ducks -- one female and two males. They are five months old, and the boys aren't trying to mate yet. Strangely enough, the female is the one being mean... She's always bossing the boys around, bobbing her head and biting them.

Anyway, I was wondering if it's possible to keep one female with two males. If not, what should I do? I don't really have room for more ducks, nor do I have a way to get rid of unwanted ducks. :/

No. Once the males sexually mature, they will probably end up killing her.

You either need more female ducks, which you said you had no room for, or rehome a male. Craigslist, facebook, BYC ad, those are your ways to get rid of an unwanted duck. :)

NNOO! I would definelty NOT keep 1 hen with 2 males! The males will try and challenge to see who gets that ducky, and it will NOT be good for the duck! I would try and make a little more space for a couple more ducks ( won't take many more ) or I would try and give it away. You'd be surprised how easily you can get rid of a duck!

Hope this helps!:thumbsup

Thank you. It just seems hard to believe that they would kill her, they seem so gentle. :(

It's hard to believe right now. . I know. But once breeding season rolls around you will soon learn how brutal their mating can be unfortunately.
And it may not be their intention to kill her, but with two drake competing for the same duck, she will be caught in the cross fire. They could drown her, or simply mate her to death. I had to re home one drake because he insisted on mating the same female the brother did .. Every single time. And I had plenty other females. . it was a monkey see monkey do situation.

Craigslist - always someone looking for a duck. If you are in a different country, they all have their version.
Or one becomes duck soup ... sorry, but those males will overmate your female and it will be worse on her than you can imagine. If they don't kill her, she will be in bad physical shape and not be the cute featherball you enjoy watching.
