Can I leave Pullets alone with hens?

I have two adult hens who have been separated from the younger chicks for quite a while. Weeks ago, when they were allowed to reach the chicks they almost killed one of them. However, the chicks are now a little over 16 weeks old. The hens will peck them, but won’t chase after them like they used to. Over all, they’re pretty calm, but the chicks are still scared of them and will hide in the nesting boxes, or stay out of their way.

This is quite a lot of processes, but I’m worried the minute I take my eyes off them, then hens will go after the chicks. I installed some toys, like disks, pecking bottles and balls with food inside, so the hens will be busy.

Should I try and leave them alone for a bit, or continue to separate them?

(In the photo, you can see my 2 adults, and one of the chicks, I have two chicks who are the same age)

Space in the coop looks fine, how much room do they have outside, and do you have some clutter set up like how you have the feed and water set up so birds can access from all sides and even hide a bit if needed?
