Hi
If i put a whole lot of eggs in my nest box that i collected will my hens go an sit on them
Right now my eggs are collected in a tray

Possibly. Some birds couldn't care less about a full nest, others will be overcome with joy and settle right on down.

You can try to let eggs collect in a box and see if any hens will sit. Do you have any breeds that are prone to going broody?

Yeah I’ve realised that the breed of chicken certainly helps, if you want a broody definitely look into getting either silkies, brahmas, Orpington’s or Cochins.
My Silkie went broody within 2 weeks of starting laying.
Making sure the nest box is dark and private definitely helps, I put a curtain up on my nest box which really encouraged her.

Maybe. As already stated, much depends on what breeds you have.

If you're wanting broodies, I definitely suggest either pheonixes or bantam Cornish. Mine would definitely increase flock size if I had them penned up and left alone to nest

Im trying to make cross zulu hens sit on my black australorp eggs
They are actully go broody often but that with their own eggs
