Can i make my hen go broody?

No, you cannot.

It's an individual, hormonal thing. She'll go broody, or she won't, as her hormone dictate. Some hens never go broody, even those of breeds listed as being frequently broody. Some hens you would never suspect (like RIRs, Leghorns, Lakenvelders, etc.) go broody. A hen may go broody once, or several times, or never.

It's less controllable than trying to make hens start to lay eggs - at least they will EVENTUALLY lay eggs. You can't count on broodiness eventually coming along.

Yes, you can help nudge a hen into broodiness, but it really depends on the breed of the hen. Some breeds are very much more inclined to go broody than others. If you have Silkies, for example, you can place a few ceramic or wooden eggs in the nest box, and usually that's all you need to make a Silkie hen go broody. Some Buff Orpingtons go broody more easily when they are a a year or two old. If you really want to give it a try, get some of those fake eggs, then put a trio in your hen's favorite nest box and see what happens! Good luck.

A dark corner in a dark room in a dark box sometimes helps but no real way to prove that was what did the trick...really.

Im not sure what breed mine is, she is a bantam standard mix and she is the sweetest~ She doesnt let me collect her egg until after about and hour thoo

Oooh, chickend has a good point. A private nest box in a dark corner, even with a little curtain at the entrance for privacy, will improve your chances. As will all that broody magic!
