I love to have a flock with a bunch of variety and mixture's of breeds,I was wondering how aseel/asil's were? I never raised them and I know they were bred for fighting and people still do but I just want a couple hen. They would be with my whole flock like barred rock, easter egger, silkie etc. Just wondering what you think.....thanks

They should be ok if you raise them from chicks. They are a bit high on the pecking order so you can expect some pecking for them to get to the top. If you get a male, he can be the ONLY rooster because they will fight other males. The hens are great moms.

Yea I figured they would be the top,and I know they will fight till death I heard and I heard there great broodies and mamas thanks

Just a heads up. The hens can be just as gamey as the males. This is the result of thousands of years of selective breeding. There is hindu text of these fowl from B.C. The hens are great mothers but double the attitude when broody.
